New England Machine Tools Is a leader in automating grinders with robots. Robotic loader systems are available for all ProGrind CNC grinders and can be provided for other non-grinding operations as well. Robots can load parts from pallets, bowl feeds, magazines and other devices. NEMT custom designs end effectors and work holding to customers specific applications.
New England Machine Tools is an authorized Fanuc Robot integrator with 10 years of experience integrating robots and 30 years of experience designing automation systems.
New England Machine Tools designs and builds custom loader systems to fit individual customer needs. Shown here is a CNC three axis grinder using a bowl feed unit that hands off parts to a custom designed CNC controlled loader for an 11 second cycle time. During the grind cycle the finished part is inspected by a vision system and adjustments are made automatically to the grinding and dressing programs for fully unattended operation.
New England Machine Tools provides turnkey solutions for complex part handling. Shown here is a custom system for grinding bearings. The bearings are fed from a bowl feeder into a custom designed loader. At the completion of grinding, the finished bearing is loaded onto a conveyor for transport to the next operation.

NEMT uses Fanuc Robots as an option for loading all ProGrind grinders. We also offer robots for tending other machine tools as well as other applications, such as material handling. NEMT offers complete systems, custom designed for customer applications.

Material Handling
Robotics and automation are only part of the answer to increasing efficiency. NEMT also can tailor the material handling to individual customer applications. Shown here is a custom designed system that loads parts from a magazine, feeds the machine and then unloads the part into a cassette for transport to the next operation.
Collaborative Robots work alongside workers safely and reduce the need for protective guarding. Fanuc collaborative robots are great for machine tending and can avoid the complications of protective enclosures. As a Fanuc Authorized Integrator, NEMT can install collaborative robots into existing machines.
